I have a (maybe silly) question. I just bought a new powershot A85 camera. I wanted to make a macro shot. I held the camera very close to a small object that was positioned in front of a white reflective background. I thought I turned off the flash, but aparantly, I did not. So the camera flashed. My question: is it possible that this overload of bright light in the camera lense, produced by the flash, could have damaged my camera? The pictures made afterwards seem ok, but I'm not sure.

Can anyone help?

No its not damaged

THOUGH pointing your camera at the sun directly CAN damage the CCD sensors. im pretty sure the power of your flash would be nowhere near strong enough to do the same
