Just recently I applied to iStockphoto to become a contributing member. I sent in three photos in order to be evaluated for exceptance but all three were rejected with the reason that they all contained too many artifacts. The camera I used was a Canon PowerShot S3 IS on "Large: Fine" image quality setting so I'm wondering if the artifacts were due to the compression done by the camera. Is it something I can fix or will my camera always produce those kind of artifacts? Also do you think a DSLR such as the Nikon D40 would eliminate this problem? If anyone could enlighten me to how I might solve this problem then I would really appreciate it.
