I have a PRO90IS with firmware level 1003 that will periodically hang after performing an image erase when I perform it immediately after taking a picture during the review period. The camera becomes completely unresponsive and I need to turn it of. I think once I had to even take the battery out to reset the camera. I use an IBM 1GB microdrive.
I don't know if it's related or not, but I suspect that there have been several instances of data corruption on the disk. I find that when I run zoom browser, it shows a number of frames with big yellow question marks, like the camera recognizes that there's a file on the disk but doesn't recognize the format. I think my firmware is at the latest level. Any thoughts on what might be causing this or how to avoid these problems? For now, I'm not going to use the camera erase function anymore. Thanks in advance for your response! |
