Thinking of buying the G-5, but I take panorama landscape type pictures from a long way off, and the lack of camera shake is very critical to a good picture for me. If thought of using a remote controll, like the one included with the Canon G-5, but all the reviews i've read say it only works from in front of the camera. Does anyone know if I could use it from behind the camera, and would it work using the panorama functions to take aseries of shots remotely. You know - snap the picture remotely, reposition for the next shot by hand, then take the next shot with the remote.

I have a G3 and I have gotten it to take pictures from the side and the front. So if nothing else, I just stand to the side of the camera and change the angle of the LCD to where I can see it.
