I have what I consider to be an odd problem here.
I record video on my new S2 IS...love the camera by the way...and it looks great on the camera, and on my laptop. But when I bring it over to my desktop, it is choppy...both video and sound. I have tried it through Windows Media Player 10, and through WMP Classic...neither have made a difference. Here's the odd thing. I have no trouble with any other videos. AVI, MPEG, DIVX...everything else works without a hitch. Has anyone else run into this? I have scoured Google for a solution, but have yet to find one...so now I turn to you! Thanks in advance for your help! Chris |

thats an odd problem. should play without a hitch. What about the video off your S2 on another computer? That would at least rule out the video being corrupt on the camera end.

it looks perfect on my laptop, which is slightly less powerful of a machine...
that is why i am so confused!!! as another test, I tried playing it using QuickTime on my desktop last night. It ran perfectly. So maybe I just need to use QT for viewing? |

During filming, can you zoom with the S2?

yes.
in situations where it is quiet, you can hear the zoom functioning. however when there is enough ambient noise (at a concert or a bar, etc...) you cannot hear the zoom over the music. |

Irishguy, try this media player - it's the best one there is, and requires no codecs( it also has very low system resource useage):
