I went for a walk at lunch time and took my S2 alongwith me. The idea was to take a few more pictures with itbefore returning to the store. Well, the results did help me make up my mind...it's a keeper!!! These shots are not artistic, nor have they captured anything very interesting, but they do show the S2's ability to produce great pictures in very difficult lighting conditions. No PP applied to any picture.

Were these taken with vivid colours? If yes, I'm going to have to give this a try. I've taken a few shots like this in the woods and they have potential for post-processing, but weren't as alive as yours.

Yes, I think VIVID is the best setting for color saturation AND sharpness and that's how I have it setup. Always.I took a few shotswith the camera's default setting and found the images to be way too soft (close to the infamous "FOG EFFECT" some people talk about).
