S400 (IXUS 400) tilt on tripod?

I have finally decided on purchasing an s400 (IXUS 400), but one question still remains. I have read in some reviews that the tripod mount is off to the side which may tilt the camera slightly. I have read through many forums and have not yet encountered any posts regarding this issue. I intend on taking some night shots and panoramas with a tripod, therefore any significant tilt will be an issue. So has anybody suffered any tilting problems? Please share your experiences.

Regards
Jarad.

I've got some experience with this cam.
I've taken some snaps with a small portable plastic tripod...length about 12 cm...and there was no tilt problems.

I think this couldn't be a reason for unpurchasing this cam.

Good question!

I never read about that in reviews, but have recently experienced it with my photos. The image is very slightly tilted up to the right. In most shots, it's too insignificant to notice.

If it's really a concern (it is for me, honestly), get a tripod that has a swivel or tilting mount. You can solve the problem with your naked eye on the LCD viewfinder.

The night shots this camera takes are absolutely gorgeous.
