S45 DCC Compatability

I am planning to purchase an S45 and would like to know if the Direct Connect Compatible (DCC) cable will interface with any printer other than a Canon. I presently use an Epson Photo Stylus 925 which has a USB port to accept DCC hookups but the material I have read to date does not list Canon cameras as having a compatible interface. This printer has card slots which permit direct printing so it will not keep me from buying the S45 but I would like to find out if Canon cameras are DCC with any printers other than Canon.
