I have a Canon A70 and am pleased with the results I get. I have plenty of hard drive space and want to print some of the pictures. Iam set to the highest resolution (superfine) and the largest file. With these settings, I get 77 images on a 128mg card. I notice, however, that not all the JPEGs are the same size. Some are around 1.1mg while others are around 650kb. What determines how large a JPEG the camera saves? Is the Mode selector a factor?

I think it just depends onwhat's in the photo. If you take a photo of a blank wall you will get a smaller file size than a portrait or landscape which has more detail in it. :-)

Images with more detail andimages shot at higher ISO ratings will also create bigger files.
