Default Snapping pics with the S330

I haven't seen anyone else complain about this, but I don't like the lag that exists between the moment when I press the button and when the camera actually takes the picture. Is there a way to turn that off or something so I can take faster pictures? Especially in low-light conditions, the camera seems to take like a million years to figure out that it needs to use a flash before it snaps the pic. Anyway, I'd appreciate it if someone could help me. Thanks a lot

Hey Chicken!

All digital cameras (the affordable ones, at least) DO take some time to focus. Usually, the poorer the lighting conditions, the longer it it takes.

Most of the time, pressing the shutter button half way will make the camera "lock on". Hold the button half way down, then press the shutter down the rest of the way when you're ready to take the picture. This is a work-around, not really a solution.

Real solutions include manually focus, if your camera has the capability.
