Actually, Canon needs to be successful in the pro realm as well. Canon and Nikon control the professional sports shooting world. That's big money - not just in sales, but in marketing. Canon has to be successful in the pro market as well.

yea. those white lenses on the sidelines of popular sports events are great advertising.

that means canon should stop looking at nikon and start working on their marketing strategy. They lost big time to d3 or d300. The mark four is to me a temp answer. Looking at the selling point advantage that canon had was better high iso performance . But now nikon has produced better ISO performance on that multi feature body.unless canon think better than nikon I don't see a change in market share .canon has to bring in a much better system at entry and mid level
