Canon 550D + 2800mm ---> moon, jupiter
 
Today a wonderfull night, moonlight, no clouds, warm ... taking some pictures with 550D and a 2800mm tele :D

Bright moonshine is not always the best to make other pictures - especially when Jupiter stands near horizon ...

Red point on Jupiter = whirl storm, existing since > 300 years, dimensions 24.000 km x 12.000 km ... earth diameter ~ 12.700 km

The Celestron C11 has a 2800mm FL so I bet that is what he used. I use a 2350mm C9.25.

Nice gears! I like the tripods too, it looks like a professional surveyor's tripods.
