Canon Xsi vs T1i vs T2i image quality
I was wondering, on image quality, with a 18-55 and 55-250 lens, would you see a difference, outside, or inside(up to iso 1600 on the xsi) on these 3 camera's?

up to 1600 you would be hard pressed to see a difference between these 3 cameras despite increasing nominal resolution. they all handle noise reduction similarly and have a similar jpeg output. this goes for all iso up to 1600.

obviously the newer cams over expanded ISO ranges for when you need them.

Thanks, I kinda thought that, I have an XSi, and of course have the disease of always having to buy or think about an upgrade. I really like the xsi camera, and am not interested(at this time) video. The iso 1600 handles my son basketball inside with the 50mm and 85mm 1.8 I have. And then I am happy with the 18-55 and 55-250 lens results on outside pictures.

As you move up into 3200 and 6400iso, it just gets noisy. If you can shoot at 1600 with big aperture you will have better results. So yes it is nice to be able to shoot at 3200 and 6400, but at the same time you will really need to pp the noise out later, and lose some details.

At low ISO the extra pixels can be handy if you want to really enlarge your prints. But for most purposes the IQ is essentially the same.
