i just got my Rebel XT and it uses a different battery!!!! the NB-2LH so now my stock of the old battery is worth alot  but the new camera more than makes up for the inconvience

o well i will get some pictures uploaded wheni get a chance

the shudder speed is awesome and i have fallen in love with the 0.2 sec startup time. definately worth the $200 over the rebel

as someone who moved from a DRebel to a 20D I agree on the "instant" start up! :G

Probally wouldnt help to mention the different battery ( same as the S70/S50, etc ), is only 65% capacity of the ones that come with the original rebel.

i had to work 11 hours today so i didnt have much time to shoot but i took an ISO 1600 picture for you

the camera has a noise reduction setting for long exposure times but is was not enabled at the time i took this shot.

BUT, thanks to the D!gic II chip, the 350D has lower power consumption, giving it as long, if not longer, battery life than the 300D.

Thanks!!
looks like the XT does pretty darn good at ISO 1600 ;)

Ewok Mar 5, 2005 11:26 PM

The noise is obviously there, yet everything is sharp. I bet that would clean up real good. ;)
