I just took out my new rebel 8mg and found when on full auto function it fired the fill flash on outdoor shots even when the shutter speed was as much as 200th of a second shutter speed it was overcast but not that dark? Any one have any answers?
Why this happens. I also have the rebel 6mg and have seen this but not at such fast shutter speeds. |

I can still remember times when it would be the afternoon on a sunny cloudless day and the flash would pop up when I was taking pictures of some flowers. My guess is that the sensor saw a lot of dark dirt and thought the picture would be dark.... anyway... Now I moved onto the creative controls so I have no more issues that like... I wouldn't worry too much about it.
