I must admit, before buying this 1 month ago, I was concerned about the rumours of a new canon being released. But I heeded my own advice (could be waiting forever blaa blaa blaa!) and went and bought it. I have proved to myself that if a camera "Feels right" in your hands and you are comfortable with it, why wait? Start enjoying it straight away. I have been out of SLR photography for about 6 years, and have been like a kid with a new toy. I think 6.3mp is quite enough for decent sized prints. I read a lot that people are waiting for the all singing all dancing, "gonna make me a better photographer", 15mp camera at under $1000, and then go and blurr, fuzz-up and add grain in photoshop! Its a crazy world but I love it, and love this site too! Good work Steve!

Thanks. Photoshop 7....taking time but learning tons from it! So much to do.

Well done, your experience shows through. Those are not the pictures of a first time camera user.

Thanks for your comments. There is a lot of inspiration ( :idea: ) taken from many people on this site, I have found myself coming here everyday now! :shock:

Steves' is a wonderful place. Great attitude, friendly knowledgeable people, and good photographers.

I concur with the comments Eric brought up. This is a great place filled with some wonderful and knowledgeable people. There are those that have technical expertise, those with artistic insights, those with none of the above, those with questions, those with answers, and many with just a desire to improve their skills. We don't always agree on a subject, we may disagree about how a photo looks, but we generally keep it civil. Welcome to the group.

Those were amazing Pictures! I've been coming to this site for some time as well and love the friendly interaction here. I decided to become a member yesterday and look forward to feeding off of the fine talent here. I havn't taken the plunge to go digital yet but will do so very soon.
