Default Infrared with D30 - Examples

Hi everybody,

yesterday I got it ... the Hoya R72 infrared filter for my EF 28-135 IS.

Short before sunset I found the time to catch a few last sunbeams in the park. So this isn't the best reference shot, but I hope it's good enough to catch your interest :-)

First the standard false color schema:

And here my IR-Channel-Shift style, where I exchange the red and the blue channel against each other:

I like this Channel-Shift on the D30 more than on my G1, cause with the D30 it comes more close to IR-Film. I think it looks like IR-Film in pastel :-)

What do you think?

Default Nice job, Chris..

Looks great with that D30's super smooth image - I like both...

Thank you Lin!

I hope to get a chance soon to start a D30 IR gallery.

But the weather report for the weekend didn't look good :-(

Too bad that the D30 isn't a bit more IR sensitive so that weather isn't that important. I fear, I won't be able to take nice IR images in winter as I did with my G1.

I'll keep this forum informed.

Oh, btw ... the smoothness was a bit a matter of branch movement by a slight wind.
