Just an update -

I've done some research and it looks like the 1.4 isn't any good for me even if I did splurge because I doubt I'd make use of it AND I don't want CA.

Another lens I found was a sigma but it's f/2.8 so it's not as fast as the canon 1.8.

The best price I can find in Canada is CDN$120+tax from Henrys, or I could try hitcamera.ca (local to me) and pick it up for 95$ CDN.

IF you guys have any suggestions at all for the auto show please let me know! I also think this lens would double as a great tool around Christmas time! Also, after reading more and more reviews, from this site even.. it looks like this lens might have problems and be really cheaply built.. does that really make it worth it?

Also, if 50mm is too zoomed in - maybe a lower number like 35mm would be good? any opinions welcome!
