The D60 was a very capable 6 megapixel camera with a APS-C sized sensor, and it had a pro body construction.
BUT it's technology is ancient, since it's day Canon came out with the DIGIC processor (DRebel, 10D, 1d, 1dS) and now the DIGIC-II processor (DrebelXT, 20D, 5d, 1ds, 1ds-mkII) that is in the current line of bodies. The image handeling capabilities of the current sensors and the DIGIC-II processor are quite amazing, even at high ISO speeds. The new processors also are responsible for the high operational speed of the new cameras. Peter. |

I just can't see considering the D60 against the Rebel. The D60 was/is good in its day, but it's day is gone unless you already own one.
