Hi
Have any of you guys have any experience with the Sigma EF-500 DG ST TTL Flash unit.....? Its E-TTL compatable (unlike my 3 month old Metz) and seems to be quite good value....! Thanks Richie |

Thanks NHL.... I think the Sigma EF-500 DG ST TTL Flash unit is slightly less powerfull the the 'Super' version but i dont know much more about it....! Its E-TTL compatible and has zoom tilt and swivel so i think it will suit what i am looking for....!

The EF-500 DG Super has a higher GN of 50/165 @ ISO100 (like the 550EX), has full manual overide (just like the 550EX), can sync @ higher shutter speed than 1/200s and has a high rate stroboscopic flash as well as a modeling light function which are also present on the 550EX, but absent on the 420EX! ![]() http://www.sigma-photo.co.jp/english...la_sup_af.html Quote:
http://www.sigma-photo.co.jp/english...fla_st_af.html IMO you're better off with the EF-500 DG Super, there's not much of a price difference between the 2 models (as in 550/420EX)! 8) |
