Default wedding anniversary

hello canon-eers
a very good friend of mine has asked me to take pix of his 25th wedding anniversary next sat, july23/11.
i will use my canon 50d with a 24-105L lens and my 580ex flash
i will also borrow a G10 for candid quick impromptu shots which also has the small canon flash
any suggestions on the settings
the religious ceremony will be held in a back yard and the reception in a hall(indoors)
no doubt i will also take my tripod, but dunno how convenient that might be or how much use it will get
should i rent or borrow the 50mm f1.8 or the 16-35L, the 70-200mm may be too wide
also where can i find sample poses , something different and interesting, not the same-o same-o poses
thanks in advance for your comments, suggestions and advice
enjoy summer

If you were going to rent a 50, I would go for the 50 1.4, the focus is more accurate in low light if you are not using the AF assist from the flash. The 16-35 2.8 is a good option with the 580. Wide enough for the group shots, and long enough for full body shots. Are you planning to set up a posing station. Where you can set up the tripod. If not you may want to forgo the tripod idea with just one body.
Super Frequent Flyer, no joke. Ex Patriot and loving it.
Canon Eos 60D, T1i/500D, Eos1, Eos 630, Olympus EPL-1, and a part time Pentax K-X shooter.

Hi your 24- 105 should cover most things how many people going will determine if you need anything wider. For the price I would buy 50 1.8 and keep it your bag. If you want to look at wedding work look a dgrin.com web site lots of good shoots there.
Have a shooting plan ready for the day and good luck and post some shots
