Hi Eric,
Be sure and use center focal point only and shoot several frames. The 10D and some lens combinations sometimes tends to do flakey things with focus - you might try testing it on non moving subjects, but usually one or more will lock on the right place.

Gotcha. I only use center point, after reading on another forum about the differences between the AF points. I'll stick with it, if it helps with 400+1.4TC performance (Can't see how it would hurt!.)

I hope to do some tests either tonight or at lunch tomorrow. Thanks again for the tips.
