I'm not familiar with the Sigma SA lens mount, but I assume that it's not compatible with the Canon EF (or EF-S) mount.

The same lens is available in the Canon mount:

It gets mostly favorable reviews:

The similar Tamron 28-75 mm f/2.8 lens:

is also well regarded:

I own neither one.

A 28-70 zoom on a 1.6X crop camera like a 20D is equivalent to about a 45-110 mm lens on a full-frame camera, so it's not very wide. The Tamron 17-50 mm f/2.8 zoom would be better if you want a wide angle to short telephoto equivalent. (It's a bit more expensive, though.)

Does the SA Mount fit the old Canon 650 SLR

Man that is selling it said it came off his Canon eos 650? From what I have found that camera is a EF mount unless someone can help me on this issue? If it is a EF it should work right????

I recently bought a Canon D400, hoping to use my Sigma lenses off my Canon Eos 600, but none of them worked. Some can be rechipped apparently, if Sigma still have the parts. Also one of my Canon lenses would not work, but can be recalibrated I am told by Canon.
