Default LCD Viewscreen, Maybe I'm picky but ...

Hi all,

I am wondering, just got my 10D and I found a green pixel on the LCD viewscreen. This may be picky but I am wondering how many others out there are putting up with some bad pixels or is this something I should complain about? Canon said something about .01% was acceptable. I am glad that it does not seem to be in the pictures so it does seem to be a flaw int eh view screen only.

Any comments would be appreciated.

Default Dead Pixels

Glad to say my new 10D has zero dead pixels. This will happen with laptops as well, and yes, sometimes they'll tell you it's within spec.

That may be true, but it ain't good business.

Well, I got good news and this is why I often by big items like this direct from a local store. I went to the store and they said they would do whatever I wanted. They would replace it opur I could stay with the one I had. Of course, with an offer like that I decided to change it for the one with no dead pixels. That is good business no matter what Canon says.

It is still interesting and worth asking how many are just putting up with these types of flaws.

I just got my 10D about 2 weeks ago.

I haven't done any dead pixel tests on the sensor yet, but I can say that I don't have any dead pixels on the LCD.
