Looking at the prices for the Canon 5D from the online stores, there is a
general price range, after rebate, of approx $24-2600.00...I have seen
several cameras on ebay, "new-factory fresh"/never opened, etc., for
$2400.00...My question is...If you bought one from ebay, does the rebate
work and would downloading the form from canon work as well...
$2400.00 minus a $300.00 rebate = $2100.00 super deal....Am I dreaming
this works....
:O

Rebates are only valid for purchases from "authorized Canon dealers" -- of course I am sure that if asked those ebay guys will say "sure I am authorized" -- IMO, buy only from a known and authorized dealer or that $50 you saved now could cost you a lot more down the line. Why risk it?
