I think of buying a new lens (only have 50mm 1.8 MKII), need the zoom to catch far objects, I read good things about Sigma 70-300mm APO lens and I want to hear from you is there a better choice in the same price range or should I pick this lens up.

Also considering the Sigma 55-200mm.

Buying tomorrow so please advice.

Depends on what you are looking for. since u have only the 50mm, i would suggest a sigma 18-125 which covers from wide to a decent tele.

But between 70-300 and 55-200 i would advice u to pick 70-300. Its much sharper.

I love my Sigma 70-300. I really think it's a lot of lens for the money.
