I can buy 2 options:

Option 1)

Canon 350d w/

Canon - EF 70-300/4-5.6 IS IMAGE STABILIZED USM (58MM)

$ 1.100

Option 2)

Canon 400d w/

Sigma - AF 24-70/2.8 EX DG MACRO ASPHERICAL DF FOR CANON EOS (82MM)

$ 1.140

I need to get some close ups for my job(web page design), and birds for my hobby.

What do you choose? :?

Thanks !!!!!

Well, web pages are usuallly pretty small photos with low resolution so just about any lens will do the trick.

As far as birding goes, there are people like NHL who will give you the lowdown on birding lenses.

Birding lenses tend to be long, fast and expensive.

You might want a generally nice walk around lens like the Canon 17-85 image stabilized. The 17mm is really nice on the wide end. Other than for birding, you might find yourself taking 85 percent of your shots with the 17-85.
