Thanks Neil, I like that shot, very good angle, your pictures are getting better each time you post, mine are the same, I don't see any progress at all.

Yes, it's a bloody battle right after Gettysburg. Most of thosewho're fightingon the Confederate side are farmers, they had no idea that the Union are massing a huge force of 60,000 troops behing the hillside ready to descend on a small town New Market where they live. General Lee knowsUnion armyintend to push all the way south, that's why he tries everything to defendit at any cost, he is looking forone best unit to plug that gap.

You can see a stream of air pressure discharges out of the gun on this shot.

Neil, your pictures are getting fancier, I didn't know we can do that. Me, when I pick up a camera I shoot like the good old days, just set on M mode and fire away. :-)

You can see that this is the first time I put the XTIon a tricky test. I had to monitor which group is shooting, which one is loading, trying to catch the fire shots with gun smoke coming out of the barrel...sometimes I don'teven focus, I just snap point blank and let thefocus system does the job, how can you catch the firinggun when you spend time to focus and compose in the frame, the smoke is already discipated,at the same time I had to keep an eye on the big cannons which one is about to fire withhuge smoke, and keep checking the lighting condition is changing constantly, at the same timeI switched back and forthfrom color and b&w andback, I alsoswitched pictures quality settings from 10MPdown to 5MP and up again. The event happened so fast,I had to run back and forth on both sides.

Try to pick any fast moving event like this and testyour 400D,you'll love it.
