Coldshot-

I am also a fan of the Canon 18-55mm kit lens. All to often it gets bashed, when it does not deserve the bashing at all. I have had some really excellent photos taken with the Canon 18-55mm kit lens. I will also attach an example.

The kit lens is not that bad, starting with 18mm is very useful as a good wide angle, secondly, the diameter is 58mm you can take advantage of it's small size when buying a polarized filter which is cheaper than a larger filter.

Sarah, is it just me or is this shot focused on the arm making the face oof as it does not seem sharp at all.

I've tried to keep up with this huge thread and there are some interesting shots here!!

Even with this one the 400 handeled really well it even caught the fog at the back of the church.
