don't know the codecs but, if you're using photoshop or other editing program that should allow you to work with raw files. Like adobe bridge. maybe I'm missing something?

If you have the canon software there is a camera raw editor..... Photoshop will also read the camera files as long as you have theversion that supports your camera.

You can also contact canon and see if you can get a disk of their software if all else fails.

Have you contacted Microsoft? It is their issue not Canons.

You may need the latest Photoshop Raw Plugin for your 30D, available here:

http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowled...mp;mode=simple

To install it, you need to copy the unzipped file into your plugin folder and remove the old one.

Sorry about the long link.
