Ok I just purchased this camera for some MAJOR night shots and I want to know what lens to buy? and if I can use a red filter from my moms old camera cannon rebel it's a red lens.

Sorry, I'm no expert on lenses but would imagine almost any lens should work depending on what you intended subject is...... close up, at a distance, indoors, outside..... What I do know is the lower the F stop, the better (to an extent) it is for low light situations. That also can be compensated for (again depending on your subject) by using a tripod for the longer exposure that will be required to prevent unintended motion blur.

Hope this helps to some extent and if nothing else.... I got this bumped back to the top for ya....
