Now that I use Raw plus Jpeg, my file size has dramatically increased.

I am buying some 2 and 4 GB cards and also need a good, fast, compact flash reader.

Which one should I buy, please?

Thanks

Luc

I use a SanDisk card reader that slips into my PCMCIA (I think thats the acronym for it)slot on my laptop.

I dont have an external USB reader so I cant advise on those.

I need it to be USB or possibly firewire, suitable for a desktop.

I guess that Sandisk would be a good make.

We have one of the four slot card readers. I like it. It is not expensive, I bought it at Wal-mart. The one I have at the office is a Sandisk, it is also a four slot reader. I like it as well.
Both do a good job, I never really shopped around a lot before purchasing, I just went to the store and picked up one that would do CF and SD.

Oh, and both are USB 2.0

I have a (very) cheap Hama 4 slots / 19 (?) formats reader and I am happy with it.

Also have a pre-installed card reader in my PC which is much faster !!

Thanks for the replies, folks.

I have now purchased a SanDisk Extreme USB 2 Reader.

It reads both Compact Flash and SD cards at a rate of approx 18MB per second, which is well fast enough for me and cost £26 from Jessops UK.

So far so good.
