Hello i just bought the Canon Rebel XT and i was talking with a guy whom i work with and he was telling me that not all cameras can handle certain size memory cards and i was just wondering if that is true and what kind my camera takes as well as the size of the memory card needed...Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

The Canon Digital Rebel XT supports the FAT32 filesystem so it'll be able to handle memory cards larger than 2GB.

The Rebel XT and i takethe SD (secure digital)card. That's the card that's about the size of a postage stamp. Those cameras also take the SDHC card, which are the SD cards above 2 Gig, due to the fact that they support FAT 32.
