What is the Highlight Priority of the Canon 40D camera all about?What advantages or benefits shall I get by using this feature?And lastly,in what shooting situations or conditions is it better to use the Highlight Priority feature and in what shooting situations or conditions is it better not to use it?Thanks.

IMHO leave this feature always switched on. It helps u gain a bit more in the highlights. There is no harm in keeping it switched on. I have a mark III and the highlight priority feature is always on. I dont see any negative issues with keeping it on. But i do see some positives during day light.

In short, i would recommend keeping this feature ON always.But thas me
