My photographer has been taking clothing shots, and I have noticed on all the dark fabrics there seems to be discoloured splodges. He is using a 1dsMkII and a 28-70mm lens with studio lighting. Generally it seems to occur in the same area each time... although there are a few shots with just one noticeable splodge, and others with multiple splodges... does anyone know what this is? The photo enc, has had the midtones pushed just to exacerbate the splodge phenomena!

interesting..have never seen a color spot so far. at f22 the chances of exaggerating a small spot or dust in the sensor is more. Just to eliminate cna u post one picture wide open. The chances of dust to appear wide open is very less and we can eliminate the dust scenario.

I hope its just a dust. Also if the lens is used in the macro mode or focusssed really close, any water droplets on the lens will also be exaggerated in the image at f22.

I hope its not a sensor issue

Looks like dust to me.

"Your Photographer" needs to clean his sensoror just use a more reasonable aperture like f8.0
