Hi All,

My 1D mkIII is here and just setting it up to work as I like and in AI Servo I can't seem to see a CF to turn off the shutter release focusing on half depress. I want to be able to do this so when focusing on a stationary subject I can pre focus and then just shoot away without focus changing. I'm sure it can be done but any advice would be appreciated.

Mark

(IV-1-0 — AF at shutter button and rear AF-ON button)

(IV-1-1 — AF-ON button now locks focus if pressed)

(IV-1-2 — AF at AF-ON button only; continuous metering)

(IV-1-3 — AF at AF-ON button; exposure locked with 1st shot)

(IV-1-4 — Rear AF-ON button completely disabled)

Custom function IV and option 1-1 or 1-2 should do what ur asking. Also there is one more custom function to swap the AF-ON and * to keep it like the old mark II N.

Please message me ur email id, i will send a pdf that compares the different functions betweeen mark II N and mark III and another one that talks about setting up the mark III for different scenarios..

WELCOME to the CLUB......
