Hi everyone i have the following problem:
I just had the focusing screen on my 400D replaced (i scratched it, don't ask).
I got the camera back and now the exposure mettering is runied.

To be more specific, the 400D now shows i need 30"+ to expose a picture indoors (standard kit lens 18-55, f5.6). Of course the pictures turn out white.
On manual settings, i can set the values and get the right exposure, but on any other mode, the exposure time blinks 30" (even with f3.5 and iso 1600)

I tried it with other lenses, its the same thing.
I tried shooting outside this morning, and it exposed correctly in the sun, but then when i moved back in the shade, i got 30" again.

The AE is not locked.

I've found on other sites this tends to happen once they replace the focusing screen and do not adjust the software properly. But not to this extent.
Also, i'd like to make sure (i'm not an expert) that the light has to pass through the focusing screen to reach the meter, right?

Did anyone experience this?
