Can you help answer this question? I currently shoot the Rebel XT and considering jumping to the 40d - will I see any noticeably improvemnet to my shots? I shoot mostly outdoor sports (softball, baseball) and use the Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 IS lens. Will i only be wasting my money if I invest in the 40d

I've never used an XT, but you have 25% more pixels with the 40D and it's several generations newer. It should give you better photos. It should also focus faster - a plus for sports, and it should also focus more accurately with your f2.8 lens. Finally, it shoots up to 6.5fps.
I hope this helps ~ Ron
