Default I need advice

I took the plunge and purchased the digital Rebel kit. I plan on primarily taking pictures of my family with some landscapes here and there. My daughter is 5 montes old now, but I will need to ba able to photograph sports activities in the future. What would be the recommended lens aquisitions to enable me to accomplish this?
Thanks in advance.

The lens that came with the kit will probably accomodate you to take picture of family and landscape for a while, for sport photgraphy, take a look at the Sigma 70-200 EX HSM F/2.8, great lens, fast with constant aperture of F/2.8, excellent price...

I second Tuan as well, excellent combination: The EF-S 18-55mm as basic all-around, and then the Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 EX HSM for more creative works (it's actually an expensive 320mm f/2.8 equivalent after the 1.6x!)

... and with a matching 2x TC you've got yourself another great lens, 140-400mm (224-640mm) and still be only @ f/5.6!

Thanks for the advise. I'm going to shoot with the kit lens for a while until she starts getting around more.
