I've just sold all my Olympus gear

I'm having to decide between buying the new 50d or a 1 year old 5d

Price is nearly the same

I love the big viewfinder of the 5d but i'd really be happy with the high ISO capabilities of the new 50d :?:?

What do you intend to shoot? What lens(es) are you considering and which, if any, are included in the deal.

No lenses included , i know that no matter which body i buy i'll be getting a 24-105 f4 IS or a 70-200f/4 IS.

5D is the answer then. Get a 85mm F1.4 and you will not regret the whole package. Personal opinion though.

50D's 1.6 crop will make the 24mm not wide enough. While the 24-105 is such a beautiful walk around lens for the 5D.

Actually if you look around NEW 5D prices are almost the same as 50D prices in the UK at the moment.

http://www.warehouseexpress.com for example has 50D at £1199 and 5D at £1299.

You will probably be able to find similar deals where you are.
