Default Question about lenses for 300D

I finally bought the 300D and two Canon EF lenses: 24-85mm 3.5-4.5 USM and 70-200 4L. Are these good lenses? Anyone in this forum use these two lenses? The sales clerk at the camera store says they are excellent, but I'd rather get a totally objective opinion. I have 30 days to exchange them for something else. Please let me know what you think.

Thanks! Steve

I have heard good things about the 70-200 4L. Its not amazing, but it is a good, solid lens. I don't know if the Sigma 70-200 EX f2.8 is better or not. Most L lenses are weather sealed (if that matters to you) but you should check to make sure that specific one is.

Can't comment on the 24-85. Sorry.
