Am I missing something? when I shoot portrait/vertical the exif data in CS3 lists it as "normal". CS3 thumbnails do not show them rotated but when opened they do. When I use Compupic Pro the thumbnails and the images do not rotate. I understand that different programs do not handle this right but if the exif data has it listed as "normal" then compupic is doing what it's told isn't it? I am under the impressionthat "normal" = horizontal from what I have read. So why does'nt the 40D put something else in the exif data? I use compupic to quickly (it is very fast)go through the images picking the keepers to open in CS3. CS3's thumbnail view is slow and too small. It's annoying that I'm cocking my head to take a look.

Suggestions, comments anybody ????
