Thanks alotbuddy for not agreeing that Im a dumb dumb lol.Sorry for the delay in replying also, Ive had a few things to sort out lately but Im back now and looking for the new lens to get me properly started .Thnaks for the advice . whats the cheapest 400mmm lens you can get ?

Again because you have a D60, the 400mm f/5.6L is out of the question...
Nikon long teles tend to be more expensive than Canon's counterpart so you'll probably be limited to 3rd party - In order of cost:

Sigma 120-400 HSM f/5.6 with OS ($750)
Tamron 200-500 f/6.3 ($770)
Sigma 150-500 HSM f/6.3 with OS ($880)
Sigma 50-500 HSM f/6.3 EX HSM ($1050)
Nikon AF 80-400 f/5.6 ED VR ($1350)

-> IMO the Tamron is most likely to offer the best value if you don't need the ultrasonic focusing...

Thanks alot for the advice buddy,I'll definately be sticking with the 300mm lens.Alot of people recomend the tamron or sigma
