Default Night shots of buildings

I am looking at buying the 300d and the sony 717. We have a sony cd400. Our primary uses are for virtual tours, architectural shots for ad layouts and personal use.

Our architect clients now wants "dramatic" shots at dusk--you know, all the lights one, wet concrete to reflect lights, swimming pools etc. While we can do it with our 35mm or mediam format we really want to switch everything to digital.

Does anyone have any advice on equipment, shutter speed, lens etc?

Can we use a shutter release sync cord with the 300d?

Thanks, Susan

You can use a Remote Controller (RC-5) from up to 16ft away!

You'll need at least a tripod for slower shutter (in the seconds depending on lighting) speed... and a wide angle. The wider lens, the more dramatic the effect will be, at least 15mm or less with the 1.6x factor of the camera. :P

Re: Mirror Lockup

I'm pretty sure the answer is no.
