Default Advice on repair please

Hi all.

Please forgive my first post for being a question but I am looking for a bit of advice/info.

I have a Canon EOS 350D. I bought it in May 2006 but last year it stopped working. Dead as the proverbial.

Both batteries seem ok but I have tried new AA lithium batteries too - still nothing. Switch it on and nothing happens.

It hasn't been dropped or exposed to anything it shouldn't have and I can't visually see any problem.

I'm not expecting anyone to be able to tell me what's wrong with it (although that would be nice). What I would like to ask is if someone can recommend where I can send it to be repaired.

I live in London, UK. I was going to send it to Lehmanns but I have read conflicting reports on their service (plus their website seems to be off-line at the moment) and the canon website had me going around in circles!!

Any recommendations would be gratefully received.

Thank you
