I shoot a lot of wildlife using the 5D1,for me, its low light strengths trumpted the extra reach advantage I would get with a cropped sensor.

Do you think the noise from the T1i, at higher iso settings, is on par with the 5d1?

I haven't played enough with it at high ISO settings to see how it compares to my 5D or 1D mkIII. I will have to do some testing and get back to you.

Yes do that i also am thinking of either the 50D or the 500D, how do you like the IQ so far?
