Default 60D vs 7D

I'm confused. Will there also be a 60D or is the 7D the next in the x0D series?

That's a good question. $1699 for the Body only. That puts it at a price point higher than might be comfortable for many. The x0D series has been at $1200 range. However, there does seem to be a lot of redundancy in the Canon line. The models seem to compete with each other since the features overlap a great deal. It will be interesting to see if Canon drops the x0D series.

canon will never drop the X0D series. In fact after D300 the favourite is not nikon. D5000 and D3000 are just out. But i see a lot of folks going the canon way if the budget is less than 1000-1500 USD.

Similarly D300 is preferred over 40D or 50D if the budget is close to 2000-2500 USD.

No with 7D at 1600-1700 price range it would be interesting to see the pick., if i have a Xti and was looking to upgrade the choice would be very simple.

now i have a 40 D and its already up for sale. Simple reason i had the 40D for reach. with 18MP and 8fps, i love the 7D to complement my mark III
