Default shutter release for Canon Rebel Xti?

I just bought a tripod and would like to find a decent shutter release for my Rebel XTi. Have read some posts here and elsewhere and (oddly, I thought) the only wireless model I could find @ B&H for Canon was only compatible with the higher end Canons.

I would not be using this very often,so I;d like to keep the cost around $50 if I could. Any recommendations?

I apologize if I should be posting this in another section of this forum.

Both from Canon, both compatible with your XT1, both under $50. Good luck.

Default no delay?

Thanks: I found these after I posted. I think I'll opt for the RC1, since the RC5 can't be set to trigger the shutter instantly (w/o a lag).

Default RC-1 only works from the front

Was reading about these and learned that the RC-1 only works when you point the remote at the front of the camera (?). That seems kind of awkward: wondering if this is a problem from a practical standpoint.

I think you might want to check this out:

The MQ-WC3 works very well on my T1i. I ordered mine from the link above but it took more than a month to arrive....
