Default Help w/ Macro Lens for Rebel 300d

I am going to be taking pictures of butterflies and reptiles mainly. And also family stuff.

I have read some good things about the Vivitar 100mm 3.5., and it is priced so reasonable($150). Is this one of those cases where you get what you pay for?

And then there is the Tamron 90mm($420), which I have heard great things about. But, I feel like if I'm going to spend that much, I might as well buy the Canon 100mm($440).

And then there is the Sigma 105mm($359), which is a $100 cheaper, but have heard good things about also.

I would like to hear the pros and cons from people who have used these lenses.

Thank You, Scotty
