Default 550D first impressions

I bought the 550D a few weeks ago, and am very pleased with it. Last weekend my son was playing basketball at the EIS at Sheffield, and I used the 550D with my 17-85mm Canon lens to take some photos of him. I set the camera to the sport setting, the AWB to auto and took some shots. I then noticed the camera had set the ISO to 3200, but didn't really take much notice, as in the past with my 450D I had usually used 400 or 800, but the shots were usually noisy, and the AWB didn't make a brilliant job. When I got home and had a quick look at the results I was very pleasantly surprised. The colour balance was pretty much spot on, and the noise level very low. I have some very useable, sharp nice looking photos. I will post some when I get more time. The 550D seems to have been a very worthwhile upgrade.
Just added a couple of examples

Wow, that sounds really great... looking forward to seeing the pictures! The AWB sounds like it on top of things for making decisions... your 17-85mm Canon lens sounds absolutely brilliant!

All the best.
